Possible Telephone Scam

The Bremerton Fire Department is issuing this advisory to warn city residents of a possible telephone scam. The caller is seeking “donations” for the Bremerton Fire Department. The Bremerton Fire Department DOES NOT conduct any solicitations for money. If you receive a call and are asked to make a donation or provide any personal information, decline their offer and hang up. You can report scams and frauds to Federal Trade Commission by visiting: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov. If you have any questions or need more information about scams, contact the Bremerton Police Department Community Resource Unit at 360-473-5231.
