Following a lengthy investigation and surveillance operation, Bremerton Officers and Detectives from the Special Operations Group (SOG) carried out a search warrant at a home on the 800 block of Park Avenue on the evening of January 25. The investigation stemmed from numerous reports of drug activity and high levels of foot traffic in and out of the house.
The house had been equipped with cameras and a heavy steel door to resist entry. There was a complex security monitoring operation inside the house as well. $650 in cash and a substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine were located and seized. A K-9 team was also utilized for security at the scene.
Information on several suspects in this case will be forwarded to the Kitsap County Prosecutor’s Office for charges.
“Residents often ask what their police department is doing about suspected drug houses—this is the answer,” said Bremerton Police Chief Steve Strachan, adding, “it may take some time, but we are committed to getting enough information and doing the diligent work needed to make a good case and shut it down.”
Residents who have information about suspected drug houses can report it anonymously through the Bremerton Police Department's Drug Tips form.
