Inclement Weather Procedures

City of Bremerton

The City of Bremerton monitors weather for the possibility of snow and ice events. Salt brine is placed on dry pavement before storms. During snow events, crews work 12-hour shifts and four trucks are ready to plow and sand during winter months. The priory for snow and ice removal is arterial streets. With almost 300-miles of road to plow, it may take some time for all streets to be plowed. The City asks for your patience a during inclement weather.


Washington State Department of Emergency Management

WSDOT has traveler information including links to web cams and reports, for State routes, Freeways and the Ferry system.


Kitsap Transit

Please visit the Ktisap Transit website for snow route information and/or to sign up for rider alerts via text message.


Puget Sound Energy

PSE has outage maps that show the current status of their restoration work.


Waste Management

In the event weather causes a disruption to your service, Waste Management will initiate an "out dial" telephone message along with a plan to restore service. For more information, customer service staff is available by phone (7AM-7PM, Saturday 9AM-1PM) at 800-592-9995.
